Quick rules
- Give everyone a different card: 24 things to spot and a free space in the middle.
- When you see something on your card, call it out and mark it.
- Five marked squares in a row (across, down or corner to corner) is a Bingo.
- Shout "Bingo!", and a grown-up checks the card before it counts.

Keep it fair
- Different cards for everyone. If every card is the same, the kid by the best window wins.
- Shared sightings count for everyone. If two people have "cow" and a cow goes by, both mark it.
- Say it out loud. A square only counts if you call it when you see it, so the car can check.
- A grown-up confirms a Bingo. It settles "that wasn't really a windmill" before it starts.
Variations
- Blackout: mark every square on the card. Good for a full day of driving.
- Four corners: just the corner squares. Quick rounds for short drives.
- Picture cards: for kids who can't read yet, draw a little picture in each square.
- Color bingo: squares are just colors. Find a car, sign or building of each one.
Questions
How do you play road trip bingo?
Everyone gets a card with 24 things to spot out the window and a free space. Mark each thing as you see it and call it out. Five in a row across, down or diagonally is a Bingo.
What ages is road trip bingo for?
Kids from about 5 can play, especially if a grown-up reads the squares aloud or the card has pictures. Older kids and grown-ups can try blackout, which takes most of a day.
Is there a road trip bingo app?
RoadTripKit deals a different bingo card to every kid on their own phone or tablet, and a fresh card after every Bingo. A grown-up approves each Bingo, and it's worth 50 points on the family scoreboard.
